Project management for RAD Studio teams
Vi brings Git-aware workflows, task tracking, and Commit & Close to software teams — built by Delphi developers, for teams that ship with RAD Studio.
RAD Studio extension — Under Review
Why Delphi teams need better project execution
Delphi teams ship serious, long-lived software — often with small teams, strict release processes, and codebases that outlast the tools around them. Generic trackers weren't built for that: they live in a browser, they don't know about Git, and updating them is a chore that competes with coding. Vi is a project execution platform built by developers who ship with RAD Studio themselves — Vi's own server is written in Delphi and mORMot.
What RAD Studio teams can use today
The full Vi web app is available now — no IDE extension required:
Projects, tasks & boards
Web-based project and task management with List, Kanban, Gantt, and Portfolio views.
Custom workflows & approvals
Model your real release process: custom steps, per-step approval chains, and sign-off before anything ships.
AutoAssign & time tracking
Tasks route to the least-loaded member in the right role, and a built-in timer keeps estimates honest.
One active task per developer
Vi's focus rule: each developer has one task In Progress at a time — workload stays real, and so does the board.
Commit & Close, coming to the RAD Studio IDE
Commit & Close is Vi's signature workflow: mark a task Done in the IDE and Vi creates a task-aware commit, pushes to Git, closes the task, and updates the project board automatically. The RAD Studio expert — a task panel plus a Git panel inside the IDE — is built and currently under review. Until it ships, Delphi teams run the same Git-aware workflow through the web app.

The Vi extension for RAD Studio is under review and not yet generally available. Teams interested in the RAD Studio workflow can start with the web app today and follow the roadmap — or contact Vi about early access. We won't call it available until it is.
Your source code stays yours
When using Vi IDE integrations, all Git operations run locally on the developer's machine. Vi never accesses, stores, or uploads source code — it orchestrates the task workflow, nothing more.
Frequently asked
Is the RAD Studio extension available?
Not yet — the Vi extension for RAD Studio is currently Under Review. Delphi teams can use the full Vi web app today, and follow the roadmap for the RAD Studio integration.
Can Delphi teams use Vi today?
Yes. The full Vi web app is available today: project and task management, custom workflows with approval chains, AutoAssign, time tracking, milestones, and reports — everything except the in-IDE panel.
Does Vi replace Jira for Delphi teams?
For most software teams, yes. Vi covers workflows, approvals, boards, Gantt, time tracking, and reporting at a lower price — and adds Git-aware execution designed around how developers actually work.
Does Vi store source code?
No. When using Vi IDE integrations, Git operations run locally on the developer's machine. Vi never accesses, stores, or uploads source code.
What is Commit & Close?
Commit & Close is Vi's signature action: a developer marks a task as Done from the IDE, and Vi creates a task-aware commit, pushes to Git, closes the task, and updates the project board automatically.
